Reflections on Madas Nasi Lemak's Closure
It's been four months since we closed our doors on August 1st, but the enquiries for our beloved Nasi Lemak continue to pour in. We're grateful for the loyalty and support, yet saddened that we can't fulfill these requests.
A Passion Unfulfilled
Running Madas Nasi Lemak for seven years was a labor of love, but unfortunately, it didn't make us immune to the challenges faced by many small F&B businesses. Despite our passion for cooking and serving, we struggled to sustain ourselves amidst rising costs. The dominance of big chain restaurants and corporations in the F&B scene made it increasingly difficult for us to compete.
Taking Time to Recharge
As we navigate this uncertain period, we’re taking things slow. We are using this time to learn new skills, explore different experiences, and even venture into uncharted territories. It's daunting, but also exhilarating.
Holding On to Memories
I miss the taste of our Nasi Lemak as much as our loyal customers do. Fortunately, I still get to cook occasionally, which helps me hold on to the memories and the passion that drove us to start Madas Nasi Lemak in the first place.
A New Chapter?
We’re not giving up hope on a potential comeback for Madas Nasi Lemak. Until then, we appreciate your continued support and encouragement. Thank you for being part of our journey.
Love,
Adam
